Job Description:

Our partner is a well-established company in Budapest, operating in the automotive industry. They are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead their finance department, support strategic decision-making, and drive growth.

Job Responsibility:

Leading and coordinating the accounting department in compliance with internal regulations
Establishing and maintaining accurate and lawful financial records
Preparing and maintaining monthly and annual closing reports
Compiling annual and year-end financial statements, including budget vs. actual reports, balance sheet, and annual financial report in accordance with Hungarian accounting standards
Managing the annual audit process in collaboration with the appointed auditor
Developing and maintaining a transparent and goal-oriented reporting system
Improving and aligning management reports for company executives

Requirements:

A degree in Finance or Accounting
Over 5 years of leadership experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of taxation and local financial regulations
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Active English language skills
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
A flexible and proactive attitude
Experience with SAP is an advantage

Nice to have:

Certified Accountant qualification
Experience with SAP
