Job Description:

The Chief Content Officer will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies for digital news platforms, managing editorial teams, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the news industry.

Job Responsibility:

Strategy for text and video content for News Website and video platforms
Strategy for News social media platforms
Content strategy for News and original content
Community building and user engagement programs
Reach, engagement and concurrency building on video platforms
Platform ranking management, content hygiene and performance management
Network building with key personalities in news space across languages, regions and categories
Content creators management
Relationship management with news partnership teams at Google, Youtube, Meta, Jio and other distribution and news aggregators
News IP creation and execution management
News and original content production management
Relationship management with news agencies such as PTI, ANI, Reuters, APTN, AFP etc
Internal and external stakeholders management

Requirements:

15-18 years in a senior content and editorial leadership role in digital news media organization
Should have handled a large editorial teams comprised of beat leads, desk leads, languages editors, input and output desks, graphic design teams
Should have handled video desks across languages and platforms
Should have managed relationships with news partnership teams in big techs and aggregators
Understanding of SEO guidelines and content performance strategies
Should have led content IPs and editorial programs in past
Should have a strong network of influential personalities in news space across languages
Impeccable Command over English, Malayalam or Kannada
Strong social media and language model strategies

Nice to have:

Knowledge of other South Indian languages
