Job Description:

As a CFO, you will play a crucial role in providing financial and operational analysis, overseeing all financial related activities, and leading the Finance Committee. You will also be responsible for managing risk and ensuring compliance with both public and private funding sources and financial institutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide proactive financial and operational analysis, recommendations, and problem-solving support to the Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and program directors
  • Evaluate the financial and business capacity implications and assess organizational and program risks of new and expanding business and service offerings
  • Improve the company’s financial processes and systems to gain efficiency, with an emphasis on automating systems
  • Oversee all financial related activities including accounting, finance, budgeting, banking, investing/cash management, internal and external financial reporting, and cost allocations
  • Complete annual audits and tax returns
  • Lead the Finance Committee and provide all financial related reporting, information, and support to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Provide risk analysis and assessment of potential and emerging issues with significant financial consequences and ensure mitigation plans are in place to address risks
  • Manage the organization's portfolio of business insurance policies
  • Ensure consistent application of current financial policies and procedures across the organization to meet applicable laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Oversee compliance requirements of both public and private funding sources and financial institutions
  • Manage cash flows for operations and ensure appropriate accounting and allocation of investment funds, including endowment
  • Oversee and provide project management of SOC 2 audit and other cybersecurity needs and audits
  • Lead, supervise and support direct reports, including recruiting, training/detail oriented development, and performance management

Requirements:

  • Non-Profit or Audit experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience in Auditing
  • Familiarity with Budget Processes
  • Expertise in Capital Management
  • Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis
  • Background in Public Accounting
  • Experience with Public Accounting Audit
  • Strong skills in Financial Analysis
