Job Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organization by providing strategic financial leadership, maximizing efficiency, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial operations within the lending sector, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record of driving scalable results. This position will be a key right hand to the CEO, and will need to have an executive presence.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s financial vision and strategy to support short- and long-term business objectives
Assess and mitigate financial risks while aligning financial goals with operational and strategic initiatives
Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, and audits
Monitor cash flow, profitability, and key performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and financial stability
Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, particularly within the lending industry
Develop and maintain internal controls, compliance procedures, and risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s assets
Serve as the primary point of contact for banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders
Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and key stakeholders
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team by fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment
Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial leadership roles, including experience within the lending or financial services sector
Expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting with a strong command of GAAP principles
Experience in capital markets, fundraising, and investor relations is a significant advantage
Exceptional leadership & mentorship, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

Demonstrated ability to drive scalability in a rapidly growing organization
Familiarity with innovative financial technologies or tools utilized in the lending sector
Passion for fostering ethical business practices and building strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members
