Job Description:

Implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's strategic plan and annual operating goals, for on time and reliable material and services supply across multi-plant and multi-location operations. Build and lead a high-performing procurement team, advancing sourcing competencies and leveraging material and supplier intelligence to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. Oversee and innovate procurement processes including sourcing with advanced digitalization efforts to streamline operations and improve accuracy. Enhance and integrate supplier intelligence, utilizing data and market insights to make informed procurement decisions and drive strategic supplier relationships. Manage logistics and documentation related to inbound materials, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing and driving process improvements for operational continuity.

Job Responsibility:

Implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's strategic plan and annual operating goals
Build and lead a high-performing procurement team
Oversee and innovate procurement processes including sourcing with advanced digitalization efforts
Enhance and integrate supplier intelligence
Manage logistics and documentation related to inbound materials
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of raw materials, components, and services
Develop and manage the procurement budget
Oversee the management of procurement-related master data
Lead and develop the procurement team
Define and establish sourcing and procurement policies, procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and templates
Review and approve sourcing strategies and processes
Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders (POs)
Oversee and manage logistics operations
Oversee inventory levels and manage supply chain processes
Drive process transformation initiatives and integrate digital tools
Enhance supplier intelligence through data analysis and market insights
Manage operating relationships with suppliers
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities
Identify and manage procurement risks
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all plant operations
Promote sustainable practices

Requirements:

B.E (Mechanical Preferred) or B.Sc.
MBA – Operations or Supply Chain (Desired)
CPM/CSM or IIMM equivalent
15-18 years of extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management within the manufacturing sector
At least 5-7 years as Head Procurement in mid sized company (Rs 1000 – 1500 Crores)
Experience in Industrial products Manufacturing organization
