Job Description:

Child Support worker roles available in East Fife supporting children and young people. This role involves creating tailored plans to enable young individuals to thrive in education, work placements, and other life stages while living in a satellite house linked to a main service in Fife. Responsibilities include providing 24-hour care, encouraging classroom and alternative learning, and acting as a positive role model. The role offers diverse challenges and learning opportunities, supporting young people with varied needs, such as acute mental health issues or transitioning from other settings.

Job Responsibility:

Working effectively as part of a team of child support workers
Providing 24 hours care to a vulnerable young people
Create a warm and nurturing environment for every child
Encourage participation in classroom learning as well as alternative learning opportunities
Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
Act as a positive parenting role model

Requirements:

Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
Be skilled in building therapeutic relationships in line with the organisation's core values
Have knowledge of attachment theory and how this relates to trauma and children in care
Register under the PVG scheme
Full driving licence
Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
