Job Description:

Seeking compassionate and dedicated Waking Night support workers to work in Children's homes across South Wales, providing direct support to young individuals in residential settings and prioritising their safety and well-being.

Job Responsibility:

Engaging and encouraging participation in activities
maintaining accurate records
prioritising safety and well-being
managing heightened behaviours
employing de-escalation techniques
making informed decisions during challenging situations

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months UK-based experience in the field
knowledge of processes and procedures in caring for young people
licensed driver with business insurance
valid DBS check
registration with the relevant regulatory body
preferably PMVA training or willingness to undergo such training
confidence in managing heightened behaviours
strong communication skills
creativity in building trust
understanding of professional boundaries
empathy towards trauma-informed care
resilience in stressful situations
keen observational skills
