Job Description:

Lawes are working alongside a leading insurance firm who are seeking a skilled Claims Broker/Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company and advance your career in claims handling. You will provide exceptional claims support to non-marine clients, with a strong emphasis on the Latin American market.

Job Responsibility:

Process claims and prepare them for presentation to Underwriters
Broker claims to the market, ensuring the best possible outcomes
Maintain accurate financial records and produce claims reports
Handle claims within designated authority limits and oversee payments
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, TPAs, insurers, and internal teams
Ensure full compliance with company systems, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to work independently
Experience following and maintaining structured systems and procedures
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar claims role
Knowledge of Latin American claims is an advantage
Familiarity with London Market systems (ECF, IMR) is beneficial
Commitment to ongoing professional development in insurance

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Latin American claims
Familiarity with London Market systems (ECF, IMR)
