We’re looking for two experienced Climbing Arborists to join our team ASAP for ongoing work in North Ryde in a role that will take you to new heights and places you've never seen. Sometimes called a Tree Doctor, you will answer the call to go out to new places across the region making much needed repairs that will assist our community to remain safe.
Job Responsibility:
Perform tree climbing and arborist services
Lead, coordinate, and direct a small team
Assist in planning and scheduling work
Monitor contractors and service providers
Provide technical expertise and specialist advice
Mentor and coach new arborists
Train less experienced team members in best practices
Requirements:
Cert III in Arboriculture (AQF3) – Minimum Requirement
Driver’s License & White Card (mandatory)
Own climbing gear, chainsaw trousers, ropes & harness
Significant experience as an arborist with proven tree climbing skills
Experience leading, coordinating, and directing a small team
Ability to assist in planning and scheduling work
Competency in monitoring contractors and service providers
High level of competency using arborist plant and equipment (climbing gear, chainsaws, etc.)
Ability to handle numeracy and record-keeping tasks
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
Commitment to workplace safety at the highest level
A team player who leads by example and promotes a positive company image
