The Clinical Outcomes Specialist role supports both hospital customers as well as the sales team, providing clinical and product education focused on improving patient care, outcomes, and clinical workflow. Responsibilities include leading product education sessions, facilitating clinical studies, and supporting sales strategies. The role involves a significant amount of travel and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Provide product education through planned evaluations and implementations including both onsite at the hospital as well as virtually, using computer technology and/or telephone
Collaborate with clinical customers on how to best integrate the use of our products into clinical protocols to reduce adverse patient events like patient deterioration, falls, and pressure injuries
Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of annual Baxter clinical studies focused on patient falls, pressure injuries, and deterioration with customers
Collect and analyze the data captured, prepare, develop, and lead a PowerPoint presentation summarizing results to key clinical leaders
Work closely with the Regional Manager, Account Managers, Specialists and other team members to develop and execute on account plans and sales strategies
Record activities and contracts within sales software application and assure that all information remains current and useful
Travel up to 75% of the time.
Requirements:
Registered nursing designation, degree, diploma or equivalent required
Allied Health Designation: degree, diploma or equivalent required (Nursing or Allied Health)
Allied Health includes Physio Therapist, Occupational Therapy, or Respiratory Therapist
At least two years of nursing experience at an acute care hospital (ICU, Medical/Surgical Floors)
Experience working in professional practice, clinical informatics or as a clinical educator is preferred
100% Bilingual (English / French) required for this region both oral and written
Strong collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate (basic working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Strong presentation skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Previous medical device experience preferred.
