Job Description:
The Cluster Reactive Sales Agent will process sales requests, changes, and cancellations, identify guest needs, verify availability, and explain policies. They will also accommodate special requests, answer questions about property facilities, and follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. The role involves inputting data into property management systems, following escalation procedures, and maintaining confidentiality. The agent will also engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and provide exceptional service.
Job Responsibility:
  • Process transient, group and event sales requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or email
  • Identify guest and client enquiry needs and determine appropriate room type
  • Verify availability of room type, event space, and rate
  • Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers
  • Accommodate and document special requests
  • Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations
  • Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • Input and access data in property management systems
  • Indicate special room reservation types by inputting the correct codes and rate into the property management system
  • Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year as a Reservations Agent in transient reservations or events booking center with hotel background
