Job Description:

The CNC Set Up Operator role at Baxter involves setup and operation of CNC machinery to produce parts from metals, alloys, and plastics. Responsibilities include performing machine changeovers, routine servicing, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality checks, and following safety and production guidelines. The position is part of a team emphasizing attention to detail and collaboration in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Perform machine changeovers as scheduled by department management
Perform routine machine servicing tasks such as cleaning inside machines, replacing full chip bins, replacing worn or broken tooling, and replacing oil, clearing screens, and changing high pressure filters
Operate CNC machines and maintain in appropriate working order
Perform parts verifications and quality checks, and record on associated documentation/specification sheets
Adjust machines for machine operators as necessary to correct issues with parts specifications
Maintain tools and department equipment in good working order
Perform cleaning/6S tasks to keep the department neat and organized
Follow safety, quality, and production protocols.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
3+ years’ experience in CNC Machining
Experience working in a regulated industry is a plus
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand measurement tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Follow all safety guidelines
Ability to manage and organize complex technical problems
Good written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail
Proficiency with measurement tools including calipers, comparator, micrometers, and fixed gauges
Knowledge of GMP/manufacturing environment and regulatory compliance for medical devices.
