Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a commercial contracts attorney to assist a technology corporation with contracts, compliance, and additional general corporate matters. This position is estimated to be a three month contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities include drafting, evaluating, and negotiating contracts, providing legal advice, and managing liability and risk exposure. Additional requirements include holding a Juris Doctor degree, proven in-house experience, and contract law expertise. The role focuses on technology and regulatory matters, with high ethical standards expected. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Job Responsibility:

Advise, draft and negotiate sales and procurement contracts, including hardware and software solution contracts, professional service contracts, and non-disclosure agreements
Act as a liaison between sales and legal teams for contracting matters
Advise and evaluate liability and risk exposure on various agreements and matters and make recommendations to NAR General Counsel and various internal business teams
Handle general corporate projects as needed
Focus on matters relating to technology, security and solutions as well as regulatory matters

Requirements:

Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and hold an active bar license
Proven experience in an in-house environment
Demonstrated skills in contract law, particularly with drafting and red lining contracts
Expertise in Software as a Service (SaaS) contracts preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High ethical standards and detail-oriented integrity
Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successful legal dispute resolution
Proficiency in legal research software and platforms
