Job Description:

The Compliance Analyst will provide support in the areas of policy and procedures, due diligence, risk assessment, training, internal and external investigations, policy audits, and other key initiatives. The position reports directly to the VP, Compliance & Risk.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in conducting enhanced due diligence for new and existing third-party representatives, business partners, customers, large volume contractors, vessel agents and other third parties
Assist in gathering information by researching third parties using various sources and documenting findings
Assist in managing agency and consultancy agreements and ensure compliance with policies
Assist with compliance training within the platform
Support compliance investigations including interviews and memoranda preparation
Assist with risk assessment exercises including interviews, risk identification, and follow-up
Interface with various departments and external entities on compliance-related matters
Monitor Compliance inbox
Support other Compliance initiatives as assigned

Requirements:

An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
2-5 years related experience working in compliance, audit, or comparable field
Excellent MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint abilities
Familiarity with conducting advanced searches on Google and other online search engines
Superior attention to detail
high level of organizational and time management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks within deadlines
Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision
Must be willing to learn and able to discern when further instruction and direction is necessary
Professional discretion, attitude, and ethics, ability to handle and protect confidential information with high level of integrity
