Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements in Labuan. Responsibilities involve monitoring compliance regulations, conducting audits, regulatory filings, risk assessments, training programs, and maintaining relationships with regulators.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure compliance with Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) regulations and relevant laws
monitor regulatory changes and update compliance processes
develop and update internal compliance policies
conduct compliance monitoring and audits
prepare and submit mandatory regulatory filings and reports
assess compliance-related risks and implement mitigation strategies
develop regulatory training programs
maintain relationships with regulators
coordinate external audits and inspections
assist with corporate governance initiatives
develop compliance policies and tools

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields
professional qualification in Compliance (e.g., International Compliance Association – ICA) an advantage
3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services or insurance industry
strong knowledge of the Labuan insurance regulatory framework
experience in regulatory reporting, compliance auditing, risk management, and corporate governance
familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other compliance-related standards
proficiency in using compliance software and tools
fluency in English

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Malay or other languages
ability to communicate complex compliance concepts clearly
strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
strong interpersonal skills
ability to work independently and in a team
high level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
proactive and results-oriented
ability to work under pressure
