Job Description:

This role primarily revolves around the management of all aspects of compliance within our organization. As a Compliance Officer, you will be tasked with managing regulatory compliance, with a particular emphasis on international trade, export, import, ITAR, BATFE, firearm regulations and various licenses and permits.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs and policies, specifically focusing on ITAR compliance
  • Staying abreast with changes in international trade, export, import, and ITAR regulations, ensuring the organization’s strict adherence to these
  • Managing the application, renewal, and maintenance of various licenses and permits required for defense industry activities such as ITAR and FFL/FEL
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential compliance risks that could affect the organization, especially those related to ITAR
  • Collaborating with different departments to establish, update, and review company policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including ITAR
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive compliance training programs to ensure company-wide understanding of ITAR and other relevant regulations and best practices
  • Maintaining meticulous records of all compliance activities, focusing on ITAR documentation and BATFE logs
  • Preparing and presenting reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders as necessary
  • Striving for excellence and immaculate presentation in all aspects of the job
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a compliance-related role
  • Proven expertise in Compliance, Compliance Management, and Compliance Reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Compliance Risk and Compliance Functions
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Compliance and OSHA Requirements
  • Experience in International Trade and understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations
  • Proven track record in Policy Development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using compliance software and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • High level of detail orientation and ethics
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
