This role primarily revolves around the management of all aspects of compliance within our organization. As a Compliance Officer, you will be tasked with managing regulatory compliance, with a particular emphasis on international trade, export, import, ITAR, BATFE, firearm regulations and various licenses and permits.
Job Responsibility:
Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs and policies, specifically focusing on ITAR compliance
Staying abreast with changes in international trade, export, import, and ITAR regulations, ensuring the organization’s strict adherence to these
Managing the application, renewal, and maintenance of various licenses and permits required for defense industry activities such as ITAR and FFL/FEL
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential compliance risks that could affect the organization, especially those related to ITAR
Collaborating with different departments to establish, update, and review company policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including ITAR
Developing and implementing comprehensive compliance training programs to ensure company-wide understanding of ITAR and other relevant regulations and best practices
Maintaining meticulous records of all compliance activities, focusing on ITAR documentation and BATFE logs
Preparing and presenting reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders as necessary
Striving for excellence and immaculate presentation in all aspects of the job
Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a compliance-related role
Proven expertise in Compliance, Compliance Management, and Compliance Reporting
Demonstrated ability to manage Compliance Risk and Compliance Functions
Familiarity with Regulatory Compliance and OSHA Requirements
Experience in International Trade and understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations
Proven track record in Policy Development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using compliance software and tools
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
High level of detail orientation and ethics
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
