Job Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to join our team in the government industry, based in Jupiter, Florida. As a Construction Project Manager, you will manage a variety of city construction projects, ensuring they remain on schedule. You will be responsible for liaising with other department heads, managing external vendors, and diligently following up on project execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Overseeing various city construction projects
  • ensuring all projects remain on schedule through effective tracking
  • liaising with other department heads to ensure effective communication
  • managing external vendors related to the construction projects
  • diligently following up on project execution to ensure timely completion
  • utilizing skills in Atlassian Jira, Cloud Technologies, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to manage projects
  • applying knowledge of commercial construction projects, project management, and vendor management
  • using communication skills to effectively relay information and updates
  • implementing understanding of government contracts and building permits in the management of projects
  • using experience in Agile Scrum, budget processes, and project scoping to ensure project success

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management
  • proven experience with Atlassian Jira
  • familiarity with Cloud Technologies
  • proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • knowledge of IBM software and systems
  • working experience with About Time software
  • familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • strong budgeting skills and experience with budget processes
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong background in commercial construction projects
  • proven experience in project management
  • vendor management skills
  • experience with project tracking and scheduling
  • experience with project scoping
  • experience working within county government
  • familiarity with government contracts
  • experience with building permits and related processes
