Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of a globally diverse monitoring tooling team that provides support around the clock to a large internal customer base. The candidate will be required to bolster the support duties for the monitoring tools currently provided, namely AppDynamics, Splunk and Datadog. Our Splunk environments are managed within both on-prem and AWS environments. The candidate should be familiar within an AWS console, have demonstrable experience supporting such an environment and ideally terraform experience for deploying and managing such an environment in an automated manner. The candidate will be required to interact with end users to gather requirements to on-board new data sources and applications into all relevant monitoring tools, analysing the application & configuration data for anomalies / trends, building dashboards and general support enquiries. The candidate should be familiar within a Linux environment as well as editing and maintaining configuration files associated to the supporting tooling.

Job Responsibility:

Support duties for monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog)

Requirements:

AWS
Terraform

Scripting (Python / Bash etc.)

Fluency in written and spoken English
Systematic problem-solving approach
Ability to debug, optimise code, and automate routine tasks
Knowledge of automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools
Experience supporting and building services in the public cloud (ideally AWS)
Experience developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
Experience in highly available, highly scalable architectures
Ability to Influence and champion new ideas and methods
Experience in build and configuration management
Great communication
Be flexible under pressure
Be comfortable working within an agile, multidisciplinary team
