The Contract Accounting Clerk will assist the accounting team with daily financial transactions and administrative tasks. This role involves data entry, reconciliation, and maintaining financial records with accuracy. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing routine accounting tasks efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Perform data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Process invoices, prepare payments, and maintain accurate records of transactions
Assist in bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
Prepare and distribute financial reports as needed
Maintain organized files of all financial documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance
Support month-end closing activities and assist the accounting team with other administrative tasks as needed
Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial data or documentation
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
