Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to join our client's team in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make an immediate impact in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
Assist in preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
Partner with other departments to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity
Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by management to support business goals

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of relevant accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

Specific experience with QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite
