Job Description:

Controller/Director of Finance position with a growing Not For Profit organization in Reno. This is a hands on role responsible for the day to day accounting, grant activity, reporting and compliance for the organization. There is a consulting CFO working on a very part time basis, otherwise this person leads the accounting and finance function for the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Manage grant accounting and supervise accounting operations
responsibility for the preparation of financials, cash management, balance sheet reconciliation
annual audit
ensuring proper internal controls, and compliance with GAAP accounting standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field
At least 6+ years of experience in financial management and reporting. Not for profit experience is highly desirable, but not required.
At least 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance role
Proven expertise in Accounting Functions
Demonstrable experience with Annual Budget preparation and management
Proficient in Auditing practices
Capable of preparing and interpreting Financial Statements
Strong understanding of GAAP Accounting principles
Experience in implementing and maintaining Internal Controls
Skilled in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Experience with Month End Close operations
Proficient in Financial Reporting and analysis
Experience in delivering Board Presentations
Skilled in Strategic Planning and execution
Extensive knowledge in Budgeting and Forecasting
Proficiency in Cash Forecasting.
