Job Description:

We are seeking a Controller who will be instrumental in managing and overseeing all general functions of the Accounting Department. This includes processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the company's accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger
  • Provide robust financial management, reporting, and controlling for the organization
  • Develop and implement local and corporate policies and procedures
  • Serve as a key contact for external organizations including banks, insurers, tax authorities, and legal advisors
  • Coordinate and oversee annual audits and regulatory reporting
  • Conduct financial variance analysis and ensure the accuracy of financial statements
  • Oversee the management of company resources, including vehicles, phones, IT systems, premises, and equipment
  • Monitor budget performance, provide forecasts, and propose action plans
  • Review and approve reconciliations and financial reports
  • Lead system enhancement projects and develop financial reporting tools
  • Oversee tax, legal, treasury, insurance, real estate, and intellectual property matters
  • Manage and lead the finance and HR teams
  • Represent the company in the absence of the President
  • Ensure internal controls and compliance with corporate governance policies
  • Support corporate social and environmental responsibility initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience of 7+ years in a Controller role in the manufacturing industry
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in Accounting Functions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing Month End Close processes
  • Solid experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills in Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred
  • Proficient in using financial software and Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial and operational controls and metrics
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
