Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Gig Harbor, Washington. In this role, you will oversee internal audits and controls, manage accounting functions, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing intercompany billings, and leading the accounting team.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage internal audits, controls, compliance, and regulatory reporting
Prepare and supervise the preparation of financial statements for multiple properties
Manage and supervise intercompany billings and receivables
Participate in the on-boarding and off-boarding of properties
Permanent, train, and lead the accounting team
Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow forecasting
Direct treasury management operations and strategies
Establish and document policies and procedures related to accounting, treasury management, and financial controls
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, registrations, and tax filings
Collaborate with banks and outside accounting partners to improve business conditions
Participate in risk management efforts including insurance, treasury management, internal controls, legal, and tax matters
Oversee the submission of documentation to taxing authorities

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Familiarity with Auditing procedures and practices
Knowledge of Budget Processes and financial planning
Proficiency in Yardi and Yardi Property Management systems
Ability to use Yardi Software effectively
Experience in General Accounting and financial reporting
Familiarity with Month End Close processes
Experience in Commercial Property Management
Proficiency in Property Accounting and related systems
