Job Description:

We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Akron, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our accounting policies and procedures, ensuring the safeguarding of company assets, analyzing financial data, and assisting with budgeting and planning processes. This position is within the manufacturing industry, and you will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and maintain accounting policies and procedures
Implement and monitor controls to safeguard company assets
Analyze financial data and present reports
Manage month-end closing process
Conduct reviews and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
Administer fixed asset ledger
Assist with tax return preparation
Create cost accounting reports
Support annual budgeting and planning
Conduct inventory analyses
Analyze vendor activity and salary
Determine credit worthiness of customers
Review computer systems
Work with insurance broker/agent
Promote a positive work environment

Requirements:

Strong background in Cost Accounting
Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
Ability to perform comprehensive Cost Analysis
Knowledge of Inventory Controls
Familiarity with Inventory Cycles
