Job Description:

Controllers must possess solid communication, technology, analytical, and management skills. Candidates should have knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The role requires at least seven years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and preferably an MBA or professional certification. Experience in public accounting is highly valued.

Job Responsibility:

Overseeing the organization’s daily accounting functions
Managing accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments
Working with executive team to guide financial decisions
Communicating regularly with CFO
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
Coordinating activities of external auditors
Managing the budget process
Assessing current accounting operations and implementing new processes
Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics
Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
Hiring, training, and retaining accounting staff

Requirements:

Solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills
Knowledge of all aspects of GAAP
Knowledge of SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley Act for public companies
At least seven years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
MBA or professional certification such as CPA, CGMA, or CMA preferred
Experience in public accounting highly valued
