We are offering a long term consulting opportunity for a Controller for one of our clients in Salinas, California. As a Controller, you will be tasked with handling a wide range of duties, including managing both the accounts receivable and payable teams, overseeing banking services, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with budgeting processes.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all banking services used by the organization
Manage the accounts receivable team
Oversee the accounts payable team
Maintain the company’s general ledger
Assist in maintaining and costing inventory
Contribute to the preparation of month-end/year-end reports
Assist leadership with the annual budgeting process
Direct accounting operations
Manage the monthly closing process
Prepare monthly and annual forecasts/budgets
Collaborate with the CFO to increase efficiency
Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy
Ensure accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
Perform periodic bank reconciliations
Calculate variances from the budget
Provide a system of management reports
Complete and provide financial analyses
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors
Requirements:
Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
Strong skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
