Job Description:

Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a Toledo-area nonprofit healthcare provider as they look for an experienced accounting leader to join their team. As the Controller, you will oversee general ledger management, financial statement preparation, account analysis, budgeting, audits, and direct a team.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee general ledger activities, month end close process & financial statement preparation
Manage fund transfers
Approve accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and ACH transactions
Prepare budgets, perform year-end close, and assist in financial audits and reporting
Monitor financial health of HUD properties, collaborating with housing staff to ensure compliance and maintenance
Assist the Director of Finance with cash management and periodic reporting

Requirements:

Multiple years' experience owning the month end close process
Experience preparing financial statements at month & year end
Management experience, overseeing at least 1 direct report
A bachelor's in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA a plus, but not required)
A desire to work in a mission driven organization

Nice to have:

CPA or MBA
