Job Description:

The Controller is responsible for cross-functional financial insights, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, profit and loss statement control, integrity of financial reporting, and internal controls. This leadership role partners with multiple department leaders and drives process improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Reviews and prepares financial statements
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
Partners with department heads to maximize business value
Support high-level company needs for product margins, metrics, actual to budget
Prepares budgets with team by establishing schedules
collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
making insight to drive impact
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Manage cash daily to ensure adequate liquidity
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures
analyzing variances
initiating corrective actions
Lead accounting staff by driving development opportunities to increase the sophistication level of the department
Driving process and continuous improvement efforts through innovation and creativity while conforming to GAAP
Develop annual budget in collaboration with department heads
Protecting the business by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Ongoing safeguarding for compliance through separation of duties, controls, signoffs, and organized record keeping
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
reviewing professional publications
establishing personal networks
participating in professional societies

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Minimum of five years of experience in financial and/or accounting management
