Job Description:

We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial management functions. This role includes managing a small team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting management. With a direct impact on our financial health and strategic planning, the Controller will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities for our $35M revenue operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of three, including the AP/AR team and the Accounting Manager, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Manage the entire financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Oversee all tax preparations and filings, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct month-end close activities, including reconciliations and financial statement reviews
  • Lead budgeting and financial forecasting efforts, collaborating with department leads to align financial planning with strategic objectives
  • Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring comprehensive reporting on financial performance
  • Utilize Elliott ERP System for financial management, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Develop and manage financial reports using MS Excel, providing critical data and insights for decision-making
  • Ensure financial policies, procedures, and controls are in place and followed, aligning with company goals and compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial management experience, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong expertise in using Elliott ERP System and advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Commitment to maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work onsite full-time
  • Understand cost accounting, bill of materials
  • Inventory analysis
