Job Description:

As Controller you will lead the financial accounting efforts and contribute to the growth and success of organization. In this role, you will oversee the monthly close process, financial reporting, and audit preparation while guiding a team of accounting professionals. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support financial planning and provide key insights that drive business decisions. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and audit preparation
  • Maintain compliance with financial reporting standards and requirements
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5+ accounting professionals, including AP/AR staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and fostering detail oriented development
  • Work closely with purchasing and operations teams to improve communication, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting to private equity partners and banking partners, ensuring compliance with ABL (Asset-Based Lending) requirements
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights during quarterly Board meetings
  • Leverage your technical accounting expertise to maintain compliance with accounting standards, enhancing the accuracy of financial practices and reporting
  • Ensure the effective use of NetSuite for financial reporting, optimizing data management and reporting processes
  • Support financial planning initiatives, providing actionable insights on trends to align with the company’s revenue growth target of $100 million+ by 2025
  • Stay informed of evolving accounting standards and practices, applying them as necessary to ensure the company’s financial operations remain up to date

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Strong auditing skills
  • Extensive experience with budget processes
  • Ability to successfully manage month end close and month-end close activities
  • Experience with monthly accruals
  • Proficiency in using NetSuite software
  • Possession of a University Degree
  • Experience with weekly account payable
  • Proven skills in account reconciliation
  • Experience in preparing and managing an annual budget
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience with cash forecasting
  • Ability to prepare monthly forecasts
  • Proven ability to prepare financial statements
