Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Controller for our team based in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee financial operations within the construction industry. You will be tasked with managing financial data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the management of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and procedures
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure accurate and timely financial information
  • Review, analyze, and interpret financial statements, reports, and project-specific financial data
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and implement cost control measures
  • Work collaboratively with auditors and tax preparers to ensure timely filing of audits, reviews, and tax returns
  • Assist in the creation of comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards
  • Utilize skills in Construction Accounting, Month End Close, Financial Reporting, and Sage 300 software to perform tasks efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar
  • Proficient in Construction Accounting
  • Demonstrated ability in performing Month End Close processes
  • Strong skills in Financial Reporting
  • Proficiency in using Sage 300 software is a must
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
