Job Description:

The Coord-Housekeeping role involves managing daily housekeeping activities, coordinating with other departments, ensuring room cleanliness, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Run sold room reports
  • Verify room status
  • Determine discrepant rooms
  • Prioritize room cleaning
  • Update status of departing guest rooms
  • Assist Housekeeping management
  • Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms
  • Prepare and distribute room assignments
  • Record, monitor, and update 'Do Not Disturb' rooms
  • Ensure vacant dirty rooms are cleaned on time
  • Assign rush rooms and previously 'Do Not Disturb' rooms
  • Complete required Housekeeping paperwork
  • Follow company and safety policies
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support team to reach common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ≤10 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification required
