Job Description:

Our client, a successful and growing industry leader that continues to expand due to its strong market presence, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Accounting Manager to join their team. This is a newly created position designed to support their continued growth. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to oversee and develop the accounting team.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee general ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
Collaborate with external auditors to support audits and ensure compliance
Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards, including writing technical accounting memos
Maintain and update accounting policies, focusing on ASC 842 and ASC 606
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
Review the work of accounting staff and provide mentorship and leadership

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including time in public accounting
Big 4 or large regional firm experience is preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with ASC 842 and ASC 606
Experience working in an ERP system with strong systems skills
Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, construction, or a related field is preferred
Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior leadership

Nice to have:
