Job Description:

Our client, a successful and growing law firm, has an opening for a Corporate Paralegal based in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will be handling a variety of tasks related to corporate law, working directly with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Engage in direct conversations with diverse stakeholders within and outside the firm
Work on assignments independently, even in situations with minimal guidance
Handle the incorporation or formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies
Follow up proactively on assignments to ensure timely completion
Utilize excellent organizational skills to maintain order and efficiency in your work
Display attention to detail in all tasks, aiming for flawless work products
Make appropriate decisions in line with the best interests of the firm
Utilize your Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and corporate law skills to handle relevant tasks
Work collaboratively with team members, demonstrating a strong work ethic
Own your projects, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.

Requirements:

A minimum of two years of direct corporate paralegal experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm/professional services environment
Knowledge in incorporation and/or formation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies
Willing and able to engage in direct conversations with a multitude of different stakeholders, both within and outside of the firm
Ideal candidate is an individual who proactively follows up on assignments in situations where there is little or no guidance and strives to submit a flawless work product
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and appropriate decision-making skills
M&A experience is ideal
Self-starters as well as team players with a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and who take ownership of their projects.
