Job Description:

Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the manufacturing industry to find a Cost Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in Longmont. It is 5 days in office, hybrid after training, and is paying 85000-100000.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process project-related trade invoices, ensuring verification of receipt of items or services, correct sales tax calculations, and appropriate authorization for payment
Prepare monthly client billings and perform reconciliations against actual costs
Efficiently resolve subcontractor queries, fostering the development of trust-based working relationships and efficient communication channels
Utilize accounting software to authorize and process timely payments to subcontractors
Communicate non-compliance issues to subcontractors and coordinate in-house resolutions when necessary
Maintain a proactive and responsive approach to internal and external customer service, consistently aiming to exceed customer expectations
Verify and process subcontractor payment requests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Provide insightful analytics or reconciliations such as subcontract reports, labor reports (including hours, rates, and voids)
Assist with audit processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Engage in accounting functions and budget processes to ensure the smooth running of financial operations

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business
Minimum of 5 years in cost of goods sold (must be your most recent job)

Nice to have:

CPA or CMA
Masters
Payroll experience
