Job Description:

This role involves preparing and maintaining cost reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting various departments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cost accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement. Job Responsibility:

Prepare and maintain cost reports, including variance analysis, standard cost updates, and detailed cost breakdowns for management review
Perform detailed reconciliations across multiple reports using advanced Excel functions
Identify opportunities to enhance cost accounting processes, automate reports, and improve cost-tracking methods
Collaborate with departments such as operations and logistics to gather data for cost analysis and provide financial insights for decision-making
Ensure adherence to accounting principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
Process invoices for inventory-related items, reconcile statements, and maintain accurate transaction records

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in cost accounting or a related finance role (e.g., accounting for inventory)
Experience in both cost accounting and accounts payable is a plus
Strong understanding of cost accounting methods with the ability to prepare and present detailed cost reports, including cost and profitability analysis
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large ERP systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations and identify discrepancies
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities
Knowledge of global shipping logistics and international trade practices is a plus
Ability to identify errors or discrepancies in invoices and resolve issues
Adaptability to changes in systems, processes, or policies

Nice to have:

Experience in both cost accounting and accounts payable is a plus
Knowledge of global shipping logistics and international trade practices is a plus
