Job Description:

The primary function of this role is to work closely with plant and department managers, manage cost and production areas, and lead forecasting and budgeting processes. The successful candidate will also be involved in cost accounting, reporting, month-end processes, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with both plant and department managers
Generate various reports as needed for all finance leadership
Calculate daily CPUs and efficiency reports
Develop a weekly trending variance analysis
Collaborate with engineering to create a user-friendly daily plant dashboard
Lead the annual AOP and periodic forecast updates
Work with department managers to create budgets
Regularly prepare production and general plant performance reports
Lead the yearly Standard Cost Roll
Ensure accurate, fully costed BOMs
Prepare monthly JE’s
Analyze month-end results
Perform account reconciliations
Maintain accurate perpetual inventory balances
Plan, coordinate, and conduct annual physical inventory
Develop, improve and implement process and controls for regular cycle counts

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience in a cost accounting role
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Nice to have:

Detail oriented certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
