Job Description:

We are offering a contact to permanent employment opportunity for a Cost Accountant in the manufacturing industry located in Ladson, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a critical role in conducting comprehensive cost audits and cost analysis to guide management decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the physical inventory process from a financial perspective and ensure accurate inventory accounting
Develop and conduct complex cost audits to support management decisions
Analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and prepare recommendations for improvements
Support Value Package Introduction and new product introduction projects
Collaborate with both internal and external partners related to operations
Support the Supply Chain function in inventory management, planning, and forecasting activities
Verify the cycle counting process and the inventory valuation process
Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions
Support the standard setting and reactive cost process
Coach and guide less experienced Cost Analysts

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
Familiarity with Auditing processes
Knowledge of Budget Processes
Ability to handle Cash Activity efficiently
Specialized knowledge in Cost Accounting
Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
Background in Manufacturing
Familiarity with Manufacturing Costs
Experience with Oracle software
