Job Description:

As a Critical Care Specialist at Baxter, you will represent the company's products, providing clinical and commercial support to healthcare professionals. This includes account development, education, and growing existing business for innovative technologies and therapies in hemodynamic and metabolic monitoring. Your role will focus on building relationships with hospitals and developing consultation-based growth strategies to enhance therapy utilization and drive value for the company. The job requires travel, relationship-building, and consultative selling in critical care settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Grow Starling therapy in existing contracted accounts
  • Focus on high growth potential accounts within territory
  • Develop consultative role to promote hemodynamic monitoring therapy development, facilitate relationship building and provide necessary customer service within current customer base
  • Grow QNRG+ metabolic monitoring therapy in existing and new accounts
  • Promote a hospital wide Fluid Management therapy offering to support clinicians care of patients
  • Optimize education offerings with on site presence to drive most efficient use of time at each customer
  • Analyze, segment and plan territory goal achievement for 1-3 years in advance
  • Consistently search for and coordinate all growth and expansion opportunities with the territory
  • Solicit, develop and maintain successful relationships with key healthcare professionals in assigned accounts
  • Enhance therapy utilization and drive Baxter value in the acute space
  • Work with the USHP-wide Territory Business Manager (TBM) groups to understand new account opportunities
  • Coordinate key activities with the USHP-wide TBM group to ensure continuity of strategy and prioritization at shared accounts
  • Assist in contract negotiations with the TBM group

Requirements:

  • Preferred BSN and 3+ years’ experience
  • or RN with critical care medicine (ICU/OR/ED)
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • Candidates without a degree but with 8+ years of medical device, hemodynamic monitoring, and/or metabolic monitoring experience will also be considered
  • Prior experience selling to Hemodynamic and/or Patient Monitoring and Capital Equipment markets, and 'Conceptual Selling' to physicians and hospitals in critical care settings is highly desirable
  • 2 or more years sales experience required preferably in the medical device industry, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing in the hospital ICU setting
  • Critical Care Nursing background preferred
  • Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnight
  • Proven ability to take a positive, proactive approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical problems
  • Critical ability to view both macro and micro overviews of territory business opportunities and account specific program development
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proven ability to start new therapy programs
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to instruct
  • demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in taking care of a wide variety of student types
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pricing contracts and renewals
  • Computer knowledge required. (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses and other medical staff
  • Demonstrated top industry performance
