Job Description:

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in the Import/Export industry. Situated in Cape Canaveral, Florida, you'll be joining a dynamic team where your responsibilities will be critical to maintaining the integrity of our network and ensuring the safety of our data.

Job Responsibility:

Implement and manage security protocols and processes to safeguard company data and applications
Monitor network activities vigilantly for potential security breaches and respond to security violations when necessary
Collaborate with technology services for device hardening and vulnerability remediation tasks
Conduct regular tests including process reviews and penetration testing to ensure compliance with established security measures
Create comprehensive security reports for the management and security committee
Investigate any detected violations thoroughly to prevent future occurrences
Utilize skills in FortiGate, Fortinet Firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager for various tasks

Requirements:

Proven experience in the Import/Export industry, preferably in a technical role
Proficiency in using FortiGate, a leading cybersecurity software
Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, including setup, configuration, and maintenance
Expertise in using FortiAnalyzer for network security logging and reporting
Familiarity with FortiManager for centralized network security management
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical colleagues
Relevant certification in cybersecurity or related field would be an advantage
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity
