Job Description:

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Analyst in Columbia, South Carolina. As a Data Analyst, you will play a significant role in our team, using your skills to analyze financial and operational data, spot trends, and provide insights that can drive decision-making. Your responsibilities will include managing data collection, conducting risk assessments, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately collect, clean, and organize extensive datasets from various banking systems and external sources
Analyze credit, risk, and financial performance data to identify patterns and areas for improvement
Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to share insights with the executive leadership
Evaluate credit risk using predictive analytics and statistical models and support the refinement of credit risk policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with the bank’s strategic goals and provide data-driven insights for enhancing customer relations and financial product offerings
Ensure all analyses and reports comply with banking regulations and compliance standards
Support both internal and external audit processes by providing necessary data and documentation
Identify opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and technology to improve data analysis processes and propose solutions for enhancing operational and reporting efficiency.

Requirements:

Proven experience with Data Mining Techniques
Proficient in Data Visualization tools and techniques
Demonstrated expertise in Informatica
Familiarity with Maps API
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience with AB Testing methodologies
Strong analytical skills with a focus on details
Knowledge and experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools
Ability to understand and document Business Requirement Documents
Proven ability to create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting dashboards
Proficient in Microsoft SQL, including writing complex queries
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
Proven experience in creating interactive dashboards using Power BI.
