Job Description:

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Data Engineer in the travel industry, based in Morristown, New Jersey. In this role, you will be crucial for managing and enhancing the data flow between various systems, ensuring seamless data movement and accurate reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Facilitate data exchange between various systems by developing and maintaining APIs
Optimize data integrations' performance to improve scalability and efficiency
Identify and implement improvements in existing system interfaces
Support data strategy projects, including the transition from Qlik BI to Microsoft BI and the integration of new data sources
Collaborate with different teams to address integration needs and resolve any issues in data flow or connectivity
Implement data integration best practices, adhering to security and data governance standards
Develop algorithms to transform raw data into actionable insights
Construct, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures
Contribute to understanding company objectives by collaborating with management
Develop new data validation techniques and data analysis tools
Adhere to data governance and security policies
Create documentation and provide technical support for integration solutions
Stay informed about new technologies and tools to enhance integration processes and data handling

Requirements:

Proficiency in Apache Kafka, Apache Pig, and Apache Spark
Must have a solid understanding of Cloud Technologies
Demonstrated experience in Data Visualization
Must be adept in Algorithm Implementation
Strong background in Analytics
Familiarity with Apache Hadoop
Experience in API Development
Proficiency in AWS Technologies
Must have working knowledge of Power BI
