Job Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in the Local Government industry, based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently enter data into various computer systems and databases. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating important business information. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with large volumes of data will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enter and update data into computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently
  • Verify data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Maintain data integrity by conducting regular data audits and resolving any discrepancies
  • Review and correct data errors or inconsistencies
  • Ensure adherence to data entry and formatting standards and guidelines
  • Compile, sort, and organize data for entry purposes
  • Retrieve and extract information from various sources to input into the system
  • Transfer data from paper documents, forms, or spreadsheets into digital formats
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data security and prevent data loss
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve data-related issues or inquiries
  • Generate reports, summaries, and statistical data based on entered information
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data with utmost discretion
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance data entry efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay updated on relevant software and tools used for data entry tasks
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for data entry and management.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
