Job Description:

The role is based in Richmond, Virginia, United States. As a Data Reporting Analyst, you will be tasked with analyzing, designing, and maintaining reporting solutions across various business units. You will work closely with business leaders, engineers, and other analysts to enhance legacy reporting and utilize data visualizations to generate valuable business insights.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to comprehend and address data and reporting challenges and opportunities
Translate business requirements into data prerequisites and report specifications, including process modifications and necessary changes
Design comprehensive reporting solutions, including reports, dashboards, scorecards, and tabular data based on specific requirements
Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to develop and maintain reports
Employ Visual studio and Report Builder to create and deploy SSRS reports
Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting needs
Assess report requests to ensure alignment with business needs rather than presumptive requirements
Identify and recommend optimizations for redundant or unnecessary data points in requested reports
Reconcile and validate data discrepancies across multiple sources
Debug and resolve report and query errors
Document and catalog current reporting
Perform complex data mining exercises independently and interpret results using various analytical methods
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to data, reporting, and analytics
Provide process improvement suggestions and critical metrics feedback to management
Participate in projects and QA Testing
Assist in executing project and performance criteria as required

Requirements:

Proficiency in Apache Spark
Experience with Atlassian Jira
Demonstrable expertise in BusinessObjects Technologies
Familiarity with Erwin Data
Ability to conduct Gap Analysis
Experience in AB Testing
Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools
Ability to create comprehensive Business Requirement Documents
