Job Description:

This role revolves around the field of database development, focusing on SQL Server database systems, configuration practices, normalization strategies, and adhering to coding standards. The selected candidate will be involved in extensive collaboration with our development team and project managers to enhance our existing systems and introduce future improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Function as a database expert, mentoring team members on optimal database design and efficient SQL implementations
Engage with application development teams to refine database design and enhance query optimization
Conduct a thorough review of SQL queries and stored procedures, ensuring they comply with coding standards, performance recommendations, and security best practices
Participate in agile development team activities such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily scrum
Liaise with the operations teams to address production issues, manage deployments, oversee server maintenance, strategize on Disaster Recovery (DR), manage backups, and handle other production service requests
Collaborate with the analytics team to establish and implement data warehousing, ETL, Data Analysis, and Reporting
Occasionally work after regular hours during releases or other critical initiatives

Requirements:

Proficiency in Cloud Technologies
Experience working with Database Objects
Knowledge of Informatica
Familiarity with MapR
Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
Prior experience in AB Testing
Business Intelligence (BI) skills
Ability to understand and interpret Business Requirement Documents
Ability to create effective and insightful dashboards
Experience working with various Data Sources

Nice to have:

Familiarity with MapR
Prior experience in AB Testing
