Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Data Management and Analytics
Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with a focus on SQL Server
In-depth knowledge of SQL Server versions (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and above)
Experience in installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading SQL Server instances
Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for database administration and development
Ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance
Experience in performance tuning of queries and indexes
Experience with backup and recovery strategies using native SQL Server tools and third-party solutions
Knowledge of high availability solutions, such as Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and database mirroring
Knowledge of SQL Server security practices, including access control, data encryption, and auditing
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automating administrative tasks
Experience with tools such as SQL Server Agent for job scheduling and automation
Experience with monitoring and management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Profiler, and third-party tools like Redgate or SolarWinds
Ability to diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues in the database
Ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions in critical situations
Fluent in English
