Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking Degreed Accountants for our client in Carson City. This is a long-term contract opportunity, anticipated to last 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, develop expertise in accrual accounting, and work with an organization dedicated to providing strong financial oversight for multiple programs.

Job Responsibility:

Support efforts to bring the programs financials up to date, ensuring all transactions are tracked accurately and systematically
Learn and apply the organization's bond accounting processes, including accrual accounting for multiple programs
Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with fiscal standards
Collaborate with internal teams to provide detailed financial insights and improve operations
Prepare for and contribute to the organization's fiscal year-end, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required
Strong background in general ledger accounting
Experience with accrual accounting preferred but not required
training on bond accounting will be provided
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report complex financial data
Adaptability and eagerness to learn specialized financial tasks related to bond accounting
