Job Description:

A Design Engineer is required for solar project designs including calculations, system sizing, and advanced software usage for PV systems. Strong knowledge of electrical design concepts and collaboration with various teams is essential.

Job Responsibility:

Perform calculations and AC/DC designs
Utilize custom software tools to design PV ground mounted and rooftop systems
Perform accurate system sizing calculations
Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams for solar electric systems using CAD/PVsyst software
Optimize PVsyst reports for system generation estimates
Develop optimal designs with SLD, PML, conduit and wire scheduling, routing and equipment plans, and conceptual 3-D renderings
Execute designs adhering to grid compliance and permitting requirements
Build detailed bills of materials based on system specifications
Coordinate with BD Team to develop complete Techno Commercial proposals
Collaborate across sales, project management, and installation teams
Troubleshoot field design and construction issues

Requirements:

At least 3 to 6 years of experience in engineering of solar projects
Relevant design experience for a minimum of 500MW or 4 projects
Electrical Engineering degree
Ability to design ground Mounted PV systems for both MV & HV Levels
Knowledge of PVSYST, Shadow Analysis, AutoCAD, and latest renewable design software
Knowledge of electrical design concepts
