Job Description:

The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to full lifecycle of new feature development, including analysis, design, construction, testing and rollout
Play key role in automation and review process
Updating knowledge base and skillsets with emerging technologies and provide advice and direction for best use in team’s tech stack
Provide operational support on applications to stakeholders
Consult with application teams and other technology groups on deliveries and issues, recommend advanced programming and operation solutions
Be able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision both technically and on project delivery
Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy, challenge decisions
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against risks and threats
Automate daily routine DevOps activities, development and release processes

Requirements:

3-5 years of relevant experience in IT
Good understanding of core Java ecosystem, microservice architecture and distributed system design
Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker
Experience with Linux and Bash scripting
Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices
It is a plus to have knowledge/experience with Cloudera, AWS
Good analytical and communication skills
