Job Description:

In this role, you will be at the heart of their HR function and playing a pivotal role in our firm's ongoing growth. This individual will own the benefits function inside of ADP Workforce Now and manage two payroll employees.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure proper payroll reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Stay updated on wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements to maintain compliance
  • Lead payroll audits and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks
  • Design, implement, and manage competitive benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, disability, and wellness initiatives
  • Evaluate and recommend benefits plans to attract and retain top talent while balancing cost and value
  • Ensure compliance with benefits regulations such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPAA
  • Oversee benefits enrollment processes and provide education to employees about their options
  • Lead and mentor a team of payroll and benefits professionals, fostering growth and development
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to align payroll and benefits strategies with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and employee satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide strategic insights on payroll and benefits trends to support business planning and decision-making
  • Ensure all payroll and benefits activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Prepare and submit required reports, including tax filings, benefits disclosures, and audits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits management
  • Strong experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity) and benefits administration platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, benefits regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and present data effectively
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders at all levels
